About the Designer
I’m Kev Michel, founder of Monetta Collective, a DC-based creative studio dedicated to narrative-driven fashion and radical transparency in the making process. I’ve been designing for years with a focus on upcycling, hand-painted textiles, and tailoring that merges structure with storytelling. My work draws inspiration from vintage craftsmanship, personal archives, and the question, “Who gets to make clothes?” I specialize in transforming garments through dyeing, appliqué, and thoughtful construction, with a love for redesigning vintage and timeless silhouettes and workwear into modern, wearable art. I have a fully equipped studio with a range of tools to produce nearly anything you want!
