Hand-Pinched English Porcelain Dessert Plate with Bouquet Drawing All plates are hand-cut, pinched, and shaped like sculptural pieces. Once formed, they are slowly dried to prevent warping, then sponged to refine the form. When dry, they spend 24 hours in the kiln for a bisque firing at 1800°F. After cooling and removal from the bisque fire, the pieces are gently hand-sanded and sponge-bathed. The art is hand-drawn. Careful mark-making balances the playful intention behind each work of art. The base is hand-signed, and the piece is glazed and then fired in a glaze firing for another 24 hours at 2300°F. The period of time from start to finish for one plate is about one month in the making. Hand-washing is recommended to preserve your future heirloom. One of a kind, made and painted by Stephanie Perry in her studio. Approximately 7.5" Diameter
